Description

The Bpod Raspberry Pi Shim interfaces a Raspberry Pi single board computer (not included) with the Bpod State Machine. The Shim uses an RS-485 driver IC to convert the Raspberry Pi's single-ended UART interface into a differential signal, permitting high data rates (>1Mb/s) over CAT5 twisted wire pairs. Its 'shim' form factor prevents mechanical collisions with connectors on other Raspberry Pi 'hats', and the shim's extra-tall pin header is compatible with most Raspberry Pi enclosures. If you need to interface Bpod with the Raspberry Pi hardware ecosystem, this board provides an excellent starting point.
