Description

The Bpod Ethernet Module interfaces the Bpod state machine with other devices using the TCP/IP protocol on a local network. It can act as either a client, or a server. As a client, it allows the Bpod state machine (v0.7+) to send character strings to trigger other devices. As a server, it can resolve character messages arriving at its address to corresponding byte codes as set in advance by the user, triggering state transitions. With alternative firmware, the module can serve a third function - to entirely replace State Machine v2's USB link to its governing computer. This configuration is ideal for Bpod setups with tight space constraints, as the computer can then be distant from the Bpod rig it controls.
