Description
The Bpod Teensy Shield interfaces PJRC Teensy 3.X boards (not included) with the Bpod State Machine. When used with Bpod State Machine r2, the state machine supplies isolated power to Teensy's Vin (5V) pin, eliminating the need for a separate USB cable in many applications. The Shield uses an RS-485 driver IC to convert the Teensy's single-ended UART interface into a differential signal, permitting high data rates (>1Mb/s) over CAT5e twisted wire pairs. Its screw-hole pattern matches the Teensy Audio Board, for simplified mounting. If you need to interface Bpod with a new sensor or actuator, this board provides an excellent starting point.
