Small Valve Driver Module GUI Issue

Hi, quick question regarding how the valve driver module displays in the bpod GUI. My valve driver module is currently hooked to the bpod, and I haven't had any issues so far when testing it. Valves open and close without any issues and respond properly when running code. The only issue is that currently, when I open the bpod GUI and the tabs populate, the valve driver module shows up as "<html> &nbsp" (see attached image)

The module reads properly when I open the bpod system info (firmware version v2 and connected to port COM6). It also shows up properly in MatLab when I run BpodSystem.Modules. The only issue is it not showing up properly on the main bpod GUI screen.

As I mentioned, everything seems to working fine with it so far, so if it's just a cosmetic issue then I'm happy to ignore it. But if it points to something I may have done wrong when setting it up I thought it might be better to ask now instead of waiting to run into issues further down the road.

Hello Ryan,

Looks like you may be using r2025a or r2025b!
Mathworks revamped their GUI system and dropped support for html tags, among many other changes that broke our GUI code in horrible ways.

Good news: this is all fixed, on the develop branch of Bpod_Gen2, and will soon be released as Bpod Console v1.9.0.

For now I'd either use the develop branch, or an earlier MATLAB version.
If you do use the develop branch, I'd be curious to hear your experience. We changed a lot under the hood, and any feedback prior to release would be more than helpful!

Hey Josh,

Yes, we're using MatLab 2025a currently. I downloaded the bpod develop branch to try out and it does fix the GUI issue, so thank you for sharing that! We'll keep using it for now and will update you with any feedback. I appreciate the help.
