Hi, Josh. Happy new year. Due to our university forcing us to update windows and change some computer settings, we've had a lot of problems across different rigs.
I think the update was botched on one of my machines and some files were fudged in some way. The other identical rig is totally fine.
First, Bpod would run with the correct console version (1.59) but Matlab could not find Psychtoolbox so looked to see if the file was moved somewhere. I tried reinstalling when I couldn't find it. After this I tried starting Bpod but it failed to detect the machine (despite being called in the correct COM port and working fine a moment ago, with no changes to the path). I restarted the computer. Now when I start Bpod it loads the wrong console version (1.58) and cannot find any of the protocols on the path, even though the protocol path is correct and was unchanged. When I go to run the command 'LoadBpodFirmware' Matlab throws an error saying it can't find it; I looked for it searching across the C: and D: drives I indeed can't find the script.
My question is, is there a smart way to debug this? Or is my only option to reinstall the Bpod software + firmware and try again?
Thank you in advance,
Su
