How to generate a ramping output signal by using SetGlobalTimer

Hello everyone, now I'm using SetGlobalTimer to generate a repetitive on-off TTL train to trigger the LED light source of optogenetics experiment. But later on, we want the opto light strength gradually going up and down repetitively. Could you tell me is there any way to achieve it? Thank you!

Hello Zhong,

If your light source driver has analog control, you'd need an analog-capable output channel. I'd recommend the Analog Output Module. You can load any voltage waveforms you want to play, and trigger them from any state.

State Machine r2+ also has this capability via its FlexI/O interface, though each voltage is specified by a unique state or global timer, so automating gradual rising and falling would complicate your state machine description significantly.
