AO module SD memory card issue

Hi Josh,
We encountered an issue with the AO module. After running experiments for several months and using Analog Output waves sampled at 50 kHz the waves started being corrupted. After intense debugging we realized that formatting the SD card solved the issue. It might be something worth looking into.

Hi PrsaLab,

We have had nothing but trouble with microSD cards! Beginning with the COVID chip shortages in 2022, we started to have reports of cards failing in the field.

Beginning December 2024, for all new builds we are switching to SanDisk SDSDQED-008G-XI, a premium industry-grade microSD card that we source exclusively from Mouser. Unlike previous cards we tried to standardize on, this one uses SLC technology for maximum robustness and endurance. More info on the new card is available here.
