"Bpod failed to confirm connectivity"

Hi,

This is my setup:

Bpod Finite State Machine
Pop!_OS linux machine
IBLRIG v8 (https://github.com/int-brain-lab/iblrig).

Errors in VS Code when running the IBLRIG tasks:

"Bpod failed to confirm connectivity"
"Future firmware detected. Please update the Bpod python software"

I tried the Bpod console via Matlab: It seems as if the Bpod has connection to the computer (the Bpod lights go green and it shows the correct ACM port).
However, when I want to use the IBL RIG software, I get various errors (see above).
I tried "pip install pybpod" again and again. Also, I tried replugging.

Did someone else face similar issues before and knows how to fix it?

Hello Josef,

IBL still uses state machine firmware v22.
To downgrade you can use the Sanworks firmware loader tool. The firmware file to install is StateMachine_Bpod2_5_v022.hex.

For a simpler procedure you can also try LoadBpodFirmware from the MATLAB command prompt. I listed this second because we haven't tested the loader on Pop!_OS.
