port1In error

Hi,
I'm training my mice in a go/no-go whisker discrimination task, everything was working but all of a sudden, the Port1In is continuously being detected as active and sending a signal to the system, which screw al the task. Weirdly, if I actually activate the input port1, either manually or trough the Bpod console then it works again for that trial, but at the next trial get stuck again in Port1In active.

Hope someone can help.

Hello Carlos,

I'd check to make sure nothing is occluding the beam path, and try swapping out the CAT5 cable.
Are you using a Sanworks behavior port or optical lickometer? Or a third-party port?

Hi Josh,

thank you for your response. It is an optical lickometer from Sanworks. I was able to solve it, so far, by scratching the holes where the beam is coming from, I think the 3d print irregularities must have been interfering.

There definitely shouldn't be 3D-printed material in the beam path! If that unit came from Sanworks, we can send a free replacement. Please write in to admin@sanworks.io with your complete mailing address.
