Dear Josh,
I have an analoginput that was purchased in 2019 and is on firmware version 2. I am having trouble updating the firmware.
Upon trying to connect it I get an error:
WARNING: AnalogIn module with old firmware detected, v2.
Please update its firmware to v4, restart Bpod and try again.
Next I ran UpdateBpodFirmware() and clicked on update for the AnalogIn module, which gave me the MATLAB error:
------Uploading new firmware------
'C:\Users\dstor\OneDrive' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
Error using UpdateBpodFirmware/updateFirmware
Error: Update NOT successful. State machine still has firmware v2
Error in UpdateBpodFirmware>@(h,e)obj.updateFirmware(i) (line 180)
'FontWeight', 'bold', 'Enable', 'inactive', 'Enable', Enable,'Callback', @(h,e)obj.updateFirmware(i)); Ypos = Ypos - 30;
Error while evaluating UIControl Callback.
Then I tried the semi-automatic approach using LoadBpodFirmware. I select the input module with correct com port, click Load, and I get a box that says great success, firmware update complete. However, I'm getting a similar MATLAB error (so its not updated):
------Uploading new firmware------
'C:\Users\dstor\OneDrive' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
Then I tried the manual approach directly updating through the Arduino software. After clicking upload, I received the error:
'SdFs' does not name a type
However, I am really perplexed because just yesterday I manually updated the firmware on an Analogout8ch to the PulsePalModule. I ran into SDFat issues by accidentally downloading the wrong version. I was able to follow the forum where you instructed to download the older version (I downloaded SdFat 1.1.4) which worked (analogout8ch firmware updated to pulsepal). So I'm at a loss as to why I'm getting a different SdFat error.
Please advise!
(I wonder the first two problems could be both related to me originally putting a space in my windows username -- and then when I realized this causes problems with python -- I deleted the space but this process is kind of a kludge. Although this might sound off-topic I'm trying to give as many clues as possible. I have a rationale for considering this but i'm not going to make my post any longer).
