stl/skp files corrupted?
#1
Hi,

I am trying to download the skp/stl files of the mouse ports/sheaths from this link https://github.com/sanworks/Bpod/tree/master/CAD/Ports/Mouse%20nosepoke and have tried to open with two types of 3d printer software (Cura/Ultimaker and formlabs) and three different programs (SketchupMake 2017 with STL extension, FreeCAD, and Autodesk Inventor) but each time it either won't open, says it's not a sketchup file (for the skps), or says the file may be corrupted. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Hi Anbu,

The latest nosepoke design files are in the Bpod_CAD repository, here.
Please let me know if you still have trouble.

Hi Anbu,

I just downloaded the files.
I was able to open the .skp files in Sketchup Make 2017, and the .stl files in  Cura 3.4.1.

What application are you trying to open them with?

Thanks,
-Josh

Hi Josh,

When I try to open Mousepoke.skp
https://github.com/sanworks/Bpod-CAD/blo...sepoke.skp
in SketchUp Make 2017 (v 17.3.116), it says that "This does not appear to be a SketchUp model!"

I found that when downloading from GitHub, it was adding two lines (one garbled, one empty) to the beginning of the file, that when deleted, allowed the file to open. Hope this is helpful to others.

Thanks,
Anbu
